Message-ID: <2242@puff.cs.wisc.edu> Date: 9 Feb 89 18:40:57 GMT Sender: news@puff.cs.wisc.edu Reply-To: freeborg@cat35.CS.WISC.EDU (John Freeborg) Distribution: usa Organization: U of Wisconsin CS Dept Lines: 35 Apple II Gurus: I've been out of touch with the Apple II world for about 5 years now (preoccupied with larger machines...). My Dad "inherited" the apple system I had which consists of the following: Apple II+ with Monochrome Monitor Applied Engineering 80 Column Card 2 Rana disk drives 16K "language" card to bring total memory to 64K Grappler Printer Card C. Itoh printer Paddles and a bunch of other junk.. I received some information about six months ago about a way to get the II+ to run Appleworks (using the paddle buttons for the open/closed apple keys). There was supposed to be a program for around $40 that would let me run Appleworks with the 80 col card. I've lost that info - can anyone help me out and give the address/phone number of the people who make that product? I realize with only 64K there will be virtually no memory available for working within Appleworks. Am I correct in thinking that the II+ line cannot be expanded beyond 64K - or if we bought an AE memory card to bring it to 128K it would help us? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
