Well, I think I'm much less bewildered and confused than I was when I asked the question pertaining to source codes. Believe it or not both replies helped me out , and since I have programmed in Applesoft Basic, and in Pascal, and I am currently enrolled in an assemby language course (PDP-11). Well I understand, source codes a heck of alot more than I did before. Lets see if I got the message: Well source codes are the codes that you write, and object codes are the codes that appear after you compile the source codes, as in assembly language, or in Pascal. Whereas in Applesoft Basic, the source code, and the object code are the same, since no compiler is necessary. It interprets them an runs them without the aid of a compiler. Does this sound right?? Well I learned alot from you guys!! Thanks for the replies, I now understand source, and object code much more!! Hey, and another thing, don't worry, be happy!!!! ...no longer bewildered and confused...Dale
