In the running are DEC, HP and IBM. We dont know much about the new IBM AS/400. Informed opinion would be greatly appreciated . Your thoughts are valued if they fit into an arguement I can present to my boss. At the present time we are leaning toward DEC as the most flexible architecture. Our questions about IBM are; 1. Who has the AS/400? 2. Are you using APPC, LU6.2 to communicate? 3. Does the AS/400 have an Ethernet interface? 4. If it does have Ethernet are there any known problems? Thanks much. -- ----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----=----= Rick Battle KB3NG |University of Maryland at Baltimore battle@umbc3.umd.edu |610 W Lombard St. Rm. 321 KB3NG @ W3ZH 44.60.0.26 |Baltimore Md. 21201 301-328-6143
