According to the Byte review, it's VERY fast, but the built-in software is poorly designed and buggy, and the screen hinges are prone to breakage. Hence, durability is a concern. What are the differences between the EL and the new EL-2 model ? I'm also concerned about the screen's ease-of-use, as I have problems with eye fatigue after working with a regular amber monitor. Finally, I vaguely recall reading about software which allows one to link with a desktop PC and use its resources (hard drive, printer, etc.). In effect, this is a two-machine LAN. Is my memory faulty (have I succumbed to overactive wistful thinking ?). I will summarize E-mail replies to the net if it seems appropriate.
