I have seen it at a couple of stores but no one has taken it out of the box. From the labels on the box the device will scan in image into a file in several different formats. It looks like it will support a number of desktop publishers, and paint program formats. What I would like to be able to do is scan in typed pages or text from a book and then convert the scanned image into ascii text. Are there any utilitys that come with scanman or work with scanman that will do the bitmap image to text trasnlation? thanks -- Gary W.
