You can never exhaust the environment space from the command line. DOS just allocates additional paragraphs as needed. So if you just need a little more space without modifying the CONFIG.SYS file, enter a long symbol and then delete it ie: set a=aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa set a= fun huu. mikep@hydra.unm.edu mikep@unmb.unm.bitnet or mikep@unmb
