A few days ago I aquire a 20 Meg Miniscribe, I would like to also use this drive such that I may have 60 Meg (2 * 30Meg). The followings are what I did and why I need help. I did the Low level format with the debug command (G=c800:ccc as specified by Adaptect) selecting drive 1 as the new drive to format. Everything worked fine and the drive was formated. Now this newly formatted drive should be my drive D. When I try to do a FDISK, I get an error telling me that a DOS partition already exist. question 1: Does FDISK only work on Drive "C" (I also tried FDISK D:) I also tried FORMAT D: this gives "Invalid drive specification" If I remove my "C" drive (the 30 Meg Lapine) and replace it with the Miniscribe then boot from my floppy disk, I am able to use fdisk and format on the said drive. I am not sure if I am missing some steps or if what I am attempting is legal at all. So my question is can I use two harddisk on a pc-xt and if so how. Thanks in advance. Derrick.
