Keywords: disk driver data compression Message-ID: <2280@lll-lcc.llnl.gov> Date: 11 Feb 89 22:52:38 GMT Organization: Lawrence Livermore Labs, LCC, Livermore Ca Lines: 16 Thought I'd ask for advice before spending the money. Saw ads for the following, but I've heard nothing else. Has anyone tried these things? Thanks in advance. Please reply to coleman@lll-lcc.llnl.gov 1. DiskDoubler from Datran. $189. Double capacity of any disk using data compression on the fly. Supposed to be transparent. 2. Floppy Driver from DTG Inc. $69.95. Speeds up floppy access by 500% by caching tracks. Anything better out there? Sam Coleman Lawrence Livermore National Lab
