I don't notice this problem when using the 3.5 drive for IBM tasks though. I hear that a Macintosh drive has a variable motor speed, much like a 1.2meg floppy. I think the way the Copy II board gets around this is to write a segment of data and wait for the disk to spin around and then it writes anothe segment where the last one stoped. if you follow me, you can understand why it takes so long.
