I've also installed them in PC-XTs and Zenith Z-286s. It's worked flawlessly. On the PC end, check and make certain that you don't have any other drivers than the AppleTalk ones. At one point I had my mouse and my AppleShare both talking on on the COM1: port and it was not pretty. Also, check your ROM. I was told that early ROMs require an AT class machine because they use arithmatic operations specific to the 80286 to figure out checksums. (And, of course, since developers use '286 or '386 machines, no one noticed the bug 'til it got out) I think you need version 2 of the ROM.
