When I realized this, I told her they had to stay inside windows, and she has been very good about this. However, I worry about something getting dragged to the trash. At the moment I always hide the trashcan behind something before letting her on ("Why are you moving the trashcan?" "Nevermind, just don't do it yourself"), but I would be a lot less nervous with more security. So... Does anyone know how I could write-protect the trash can (or otherwise protect the system from getting files deleted) ? thanks, Margot Flowers Flowers@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!(uunet,rutgers,ucbvax,randvax)!cs.ucla.edu!flowers
