I used Giffer 1.0 to save the picture in resource id=0 format (startup screen) and then placed the new file in my system folder. On startup, the picture does appear as the desktop background, however, the colors and the resolution are distorted. It seems like the picture is being displayed in 16 color mode instead of 256. Anyone has run into this problem before? Any solutions? Using: Mac II, 5meg RAM, 8 bit video, Apple RGB, system 6.02, etc. Thanks Saiid Paryavi Computer Science Dept. paryavi@ksuvax1.cis.ksu.edu Nichols Hall paryavi@ksuvax1.BITNET Kansas State University {pyramid,ucsd}!ncr-sd!ncrwic!ksuvax1!paryavi Manhattan, KS 66506
