Summary: Want Advice on buying a Nova40 from Microtech Keywords: Quantum, hard disk, internal, microtech Message-ID: <2272@lll-lcc.llnl.gov> Date: 7 Feb 89 15:43:55 GMT References: <754@ethz.UUCP> <46700098@uxf.cso.uiuc.edu> Reply-To: longstaf@lll-lcc.llnl.gov.UUCP (Thomas A Longstaff) Organization: Lawrence Livermore Labs, Comp Center, Livermore CA Lines: 20 I'd like to get an internal 40mb Quantum drive for my SE. After looking over all the sources I have available, it looks like Microtech (pp. 135 in Feb MacUser) has the best price/warranty on the drive. Does anyone out there know if the company has been good in the past? Anyone actually have a Nova? How is support, delivery time, etc. I'm also in the market for a 4800 baud modem. Is the Anchor any good? Is it hayes compatible? These sort of requests have been posted ad nauseam to this net, so please reply by mail and I'll summarize if I get anything good.
