I regard to the query concerning example serial port code. Try 'Microsoft
Basic, Creative Programming in' by Steve Lambert. Microsoft press publish that
one.

I gather there must be one for C guru's, but I checked my only Mac/C book and that deals mainly with graphics and desktop/file management, not much use to you.
