Lines: 20 References: The SE/30 looks very interesting. I have two questions, and I hope somebody from the net will be able to answer: 1. Is the 40Mb hard disk one of the new Quantum (sub 20msec) drives or one of the older (sub 30msec) Quantum drives? I know from other postings that Apple is using the new Quantum for the 3.5" 80Mb drive, but 80Mb is a little much for my needs. 2. There is an article about the SE/30 in the most recent Byte (February, I guess). It states that Apple is using a separate 64k memory subsystem for the screen buffer. Is this true? If it is, 64k is at least twice as much as the internal monitor requires. Perhaps the SE/30 still supports some sort of alternate screen buffer? ---- KiYun Roe kiyun@mirror.TMC.COM {mit-eddie, pyramid, harvard!wjh12, xait, datacube}!mirror!kiyun Mirror Systems 2067 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02140 Telephone: 617-661-0777 Ext. 140
