Currently I'm trying to help someone recover from loss of data: a diskette
was damaged by a bad disk drive. Both FATs were DESTROYED
(and also several clusters).

I'm referring to a DISKETTE, not to a hard disk. I think
that Norton's TS (TextSearch) would be the right utility to use in this
case. But I got also suggestions to use PCTools and Mace. What options
should I use? FIND? I think that the right option in the Mace utilities
would be RECLAIM, but I'm not certain.

Any suggestions?
