We have all our clients `sharing' various files via hard links in the
server's filesystem. Trouble is that editors effectively unlink a copy
when used to work with such a file on a specific machine (by copying,
unlinking, and writing back to disk).

Anyone have any ideas on ways to get around this ? I wondered about a
bunch of hard links to one file that is actually a symbolic link to
another file ... but this doesn't really seem in the spirit of things.
