Lines: 14 I have the following formula which I'd like to typeset in LaTeX. \mu s_j \delta s_i s_j Does anyone have a solution which will align the indices both horizontally and vertically? (N.B. The solution given in the LaTeX manual $\delta{}^\mu_{s_i}{}^{s_j}_{s_j}$ does not work as the second column is lifted by the descending j's. Replacing {} by \mathstrut works on some systems, but not on others). Many thanks in advance ... Geert Jan van Oldenborgh, t19@nikhefh.hep.nl
