I am very fond of Scribe, which :runs on vaxen and other, larger-than-PC machines. I have heard rumors of a :Scribe clone called Final Word that is supposed to run on PCs. Borland's SPRINT wp package is based on FinalWord II; the formatter (which can be used separately) is very FinalWord-like, and I think fairly Scribe- like but I'm not much of a real-Scribe expert. Since Borland bought the rights for this, I assume FinalWord itself is no longer directly available, but it may be. You might prefer Sprint anyway. There was also supposed to be a MicroScribe from the MicroEmacs factory in beta this summer, but I think it's delayed. -- David Dyer-Bennet ...!{rutgers!dayton | amdahl!ems | uunet!rosevax}!umn-cs!ns!ddb ddb@Lynx.MN.Org, ...{amdahl,hpda}!bungia!viper!ddb Fidonet 1:282/341.0, (612) 721-8967 hst/2400/1200/300
