Lines: 9 I need to know how to use tar, and/or cpio with tapes under AUX. I am using the 1.1 beta3 and have correctly setup the kernel and have the /dev/rmt/tc*. I am able to format the tape with mt but get read and write errors with tar and cpio. tar cf /dev/rmt/tc5 *. There is no action on the tape when I do this. Question: Does the tc driver require the APPLE tape drive or will any 3M dc-2000 mech. do the trick?
