Does anybody know of any public domain or purchasable networked development
environment suitable for the following ?

	o	Managing multiple releases of software, both at source and
		release (object) level.

	o	The ability to manage customer bespoke code within releases for
		different machines. 
		ie produce release x.xx for customer y machine z.

		A scenario for this might be:

		Request source module x  target machine y
			lock module 
			get module 
			modify module 
			compile module  for y (not necessarily this node)
			log changes to module 
			update dependencies to module
			put module
			update release area for target y
			produce installable update/system for y
			unlock module
		End request module x
					

	o	Ability to integrate with existing software

	o	A mixed tcp/ip net consisting mainly of Sys V machines but also
		some AIX.

Obviously certain of these functions are handled effectively by 'Make'
and 'Sccs'. However these tools present a fairly 'raw' interface. What
I am looking for is a higher level interface to such tools.

Any help or information is gratefully received.
