Currently I have "/usr/bin/X11/xdm" as the last command in the /etc/rc file, but that is not working. Everything will boot up, the xdm login screen will come up, the user will be verified, but then xdm won't run a session. Instead, the display is reset, and the login screen comes up again. If anyone can help me, please email with details. Additional info : Our system kernel is not patched to allow X to be run from /etc/ttys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
