We recently upgraded one of our 4-plane VAXstation 2000 to
an 8-plane machine.  The Xqdss server (which previously worked)
now dies with a bus error when starting up.

We are running Ultrix 2.3 (with expo's sg.o).
The traceback is:
	storeChannel()
	qdStoreColors()
	qdInstallColormap()
The bus error apparently occurs when storeChannel tries to modify color
255 in the colormap.

Any help would be appreciated (especially since I am forced to work
on an ancient HP2645A instead of a color workstation.)
