Lines: 20 I am interested in extending the functionality of the Text Widget by providing my own source of data. I understand that this is how the AsciiStringWidget and AsciiDiskWidget are derived from the textWidgetClass. I also understand about XtStringSourceCreate (and its friends). I assume that a "source" provides data upon demand to the text widget. I also assume that this happens when the text widget makes one or more calls requesting the data. What I do not understand and have not been able to find documented are the interfaces that these functions have. I would appreciate be pointed at any available documents or examples that make use of this ability. I would also appreciate hearing recommendation of when it is appropriate or inappropriate to use this facility. Thanks.
