The version of awm we got with the R3 tape doesn't seem to compile with
R3 include files in /usr/include/X11. Before I go try to fix it, I am
wondering if anyone got it to compile/work?

Hopefully some kind soul will put a copy of the source/binary in an
anonymously FTP'able place......
