[I'd appreciate it if someone familiar with the current usenet/uucp world would drop me a note with a useful address, given the above and path: uunet!mcvax!enea!ericom!erix!mike.] window.c not compiling under -O isn't new: I guess the comment on this just didn't make the MACHINES file. Just recompile that one file without -O and all should be well. The IGNBRK fix is right, and is in the AIX-18.52-update file on prep. On AIX 2.2.1, the following switches are no longer needed: -I/usr/include/bsd, -lsock, and -lbsd. AIX 2.2.1 has X11 rather than X10, and you should remove HAVE_X_MENU and define X11. x11term.c needs #include . Your other complaints don't fit our experience. Suggestion 1: DON'T define BSD_INCLUDES, that is/was used for cross-compiling! My guess is that this is what is breaking select() and dumping.
