Message-ID: Date: 9 Feb 89 15:03:30 GMT Organization: CMU CS Department Lines: 18 I was wondering if anyone could tell me the status of a gcc port to the IBM RT/PC. I tried to send mail to Richard Kenner of NYU, who was apparently in the process of doing this, but he hasn't responded. I understand that the RT architecture is different enough from the abstract machine targeted by the output of the gcc front-end to require some changes in the front-end/code-generator interface (is this called RTL, for Register Transfer Language?) My eventual aim is to use G++, so would anyone who knows care to speculate on whether such changes would take a while to migrate to G++? Thanks in advance. -- Dave Detlefs Any correlation between my employer's opinion Carnegie-Mellon CS and my own is statistical rather than causal, dld@cs.cmu.edu except in those cases where I have helped to form my employer's opinion.
