Yes, for example on pay-for-play systems like Compuserve they are very explicit about their compilation copyright. They don't claim copyright over the individual articles but don't try and download all of a sig to your bbs. You might just get a call from their lawyers asking you to remove it. It might be interesting for someone who has access to Compuserve to post some of the relevant sections. I'm sure the they wouldn't mind as long as it's only excerpts properly accredited. Brad as the person assemblying and issuing of r.h.f has the compilation copyright by default. Unless and until he renouces it; it's his. Always has been. Can we get back a more interesting subject now?
