Message-ID: <408@fantasci.UUCP> Date: 12 Feb 89 01:42:01 GMT Reply-To: jep@fantasci.UUCP (Joseph E Poplawski) Distribution: na Organization: Fantasci Incorporated Lines: 24 Is it possible for a system to have multiple listings in /usr/lib/news/sys? The reason I ask is that my news feed can only have so many characters per line in his sys file and there is not much room for me to get picky about the groups I receive. I would really like to be able to get even pickier. What I was thinking was to have my feed have multiple sys lines for their system such as the following: telesci:world,usa,na,nj,comp.unix,comp.sources,comp.sys.cbm,comp.sys.ibm,comp.os,comp.lang.c,comp.mail,comp.risks,comp.terminals,comp.archives:U: telesci:world,usa,na,nj,comp.editors,comp.edu,comp.doc,comp.org,news,alt.bbs,alt.sources,alt.gourmand,nj,misc.forsale,misc.wanted,misc.security,misc.misc:U: telesci:world,usa,na,nj,rec.food,rec.games.frp,rec.games.programmer,rec.games.empire,rec.arts.startrek,soc.college,sci.psychology:U: Would this work? I know it looks messy and all, but I spend so much time online receiving news I don't read at all and my feed said he is limited to a certain number of characters a line, and if this works, it would be a real lifesaver! Any help or information anyone can give would be greatly appreciated! -Jo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Joseph E Poplawski (Jo) | | Home: 1621 Jackson Street Cinnaminson NJ 08077 Phone: +1 609 786-8099 | | UUCP: ...{rutgers!rochester!moscom,princeton,pyrnj}!telesci!fantasci!jep | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
