I have been able to keep the bird quiet by putting him in a dark place, like my room with the cage still covered and the blinds down. Sometimes putting an extra thick blanket over the cage helps to muffle the sound as well as keep it darker. In other houses I have put the cage in the bathroom with the door closed to keep the noise down. I once had a Nanday Conure which screeched, especially at my boyfriend, so I finally had to sell it. I hope you have better luck. Gail Smithson
