Message-ID: <180@zorin.UUCP> Date: 11 Feb 89 18:19:02 GMT Organization: Zorin Data Systems, Inc., Santa Monica, CA Lines: 24 I'm working on an computer to real world interface... Does anyone have good sources for properly interfacing such things as big relays, sonalerts, and solid state horns to a PIO chip (standard TTL)? I'm using things like 2N2222's to drive LEDs through long wires, but what's the BEST way to interface devices like this, and larger current devices for reliability, etc. Darlington setups to driver relays? I's been a long time since I did all that... One last request... Does anyone know of a sound effects chip that is designed for uProcessor interfacing? I've seen ones that want all sorts of LC networks hooked up to most pins for different effects, but does anyone know of one that works off a data bus, instead of all that analog goo??
