Hello,

  I'm looking for literature in the above subject and/or related areas.
  What I *don't* want is newer/faster/better algorithms for 3-D graphic
  representations.  I'm more interested in the documentation of methods
  that use such graphics systems to enhance/enable Engineering design
  and analysis.  I've managed to find a few such references and shall 
  be glad to provide them on request.  

  I suppose one could term the above request as CAD-related, but I'm
  looking for something which is a notch above conventional CAD systems.
  I would like to think of it as an Engineering modelling/analysis
  system.  

  My apologies if the above sounds a bit vague.  This is because I'm
  not quite sure what exists in the academic/commercial fields in the
  general area, and hope to be able to more clearly define the requirements
  of such a system from any information that I might obtain via these 
  newsgroups.
