Lines: 16 W. Jeffrey and R. Rosner published a paper in the proceedings of the AIP 1986 neural network conference called "Neural Network Processing as a Tool for Function Optimization." In this brief paper, they compared several methods for minimizing several functions. They also promised to follow this paper with a larger article in a reviewed journal. Does anyone know whether these authors have done any more work in this area? I am also interested in obtaining other references to recent work in function optimization with neural nets. My main interest in this area is with mixed-integer nonlinear programming. Thanks. Dan Mocsny dmocsny@uceng.uc.edu
