Message-ID: <15782@cisunx.UUCP> Date: 11 Feb 89 16:02:09 GMT Organization: Univ. of Pittsburgh, Comp & Info Sys Lines: 10 It seems that increasingly, people are using principal components analysis (not to mention cluster analysis) as a way of interpreting, for example, sets of patterns over hidden units. For those of us who managed to miss that part of the requisite undergraduate training in mathematics, can anyone recommend references that give a clear and accessible introduction to the area? Thanks, Tim van Gelder
