	One of my first impressions of the Vax was "how come an 11/55 with
fpa is faster than an 11/780 with fpa?"  I never did any benchmarks to see
if that was true, but that's what the instruction timings in the handbooks
seemed to indicate.  One of my second impressions was "maybe if I read this
all again, I'll be able to figure out just what register indirect indexed
offset mode really is."
