Followed up by nasty things happening all over ...] Well, it seems that I took an inode hit (thanks Phil!!) and caused all sorts of nasty things to go wrong. I need to increase the inode size a bit and this should clean everything up. I just received a free update (thanks SCO) to 2.2.3 from 2.2.2 and this, coupled with the changes to the inode size, should fix it. Thanks to all who replied, shawn -- Shawn Kennedy att!ihlpb!skennedy
