Although the topic may sound like an invitation to start an off-line flame war, what we are actually interested in is: 1. Under what circumstances/environments have you (or your company) found a LAN (in this case, networked PCs) to be a superior solution to the needs of the user community, compared to a multi-user (UNIX or otherwise) system? and, conversely, 2.
