The 'F11 is a 6502 processor core with some on-board peripheral stuff like I/O ports and timers. It has an embedded Forth kernal, so it can execute Forth directly. The kernal words are headless. The companion ROM includes the heads for the kernal words plus several additional words to make a reasonably complete working environment. Jan Hofland
