Someone corrected me on the behavior of newmail as it writes to the
console.  It does not do so because someone is logged in via a different
tty.  It happens when someone had been logged into the console and ran
newmail.  newmail continues to report their incoming mail on the console
after they logout.  I am using a Sun 3/260 running SunOS 4.0.1.
