I hear that AT&T's ATTMAIL service provides gateways/mail exchange with
PROFS.  Their PMX family of software (Private Mail Xchange) also has
mail exchange modules for PROFS and other systems (HP, DEC, etc).  
Although the PMX products run on AT&T 3B's, as one might expect, this
might be a lead.
