I just installed sendmail 5.61, and rewrote my sendmail.cf file. All of a sudden, my alias file broke with "cannot alias non-local names". I look in the code and discover that it passes the alias through parseaddr(), which causes it to be rewritten by rulesets 3 and 0. Why? I just discovered that my new configuration file won't let aliases have periods in them. I guess it's back to square one. -- Wills -- DISCLAIMER: I speak only for myself, and usually only to myself.
