There are a number of UUCP sites in the Bay area that get UseNet news feeds
such as Portal,  WELL,  and a number of other sites that have public 
access.   Also,  I have heard of a number of "Hobbyists" who maintain
UUCP sites.   Were you referring to some OTHER network??

This doesn't surprise me,   John Markhoff has been reading Net News for
years.    He called me up a week ago,   told me about an article he
was going to write,  and that he saw the discussion on UseNet.   I told
him I didn't think it was such a good idea to write about UseNet.
