I'm having trouble getting the concept behind Minix 1.2 fdisk. (I do NOT have a multi-partition fdisk with my DOS). I want to have 2 partitions on my 20 mg Seagate ST-225 one for /usr and one to mount on /tmp so I can get patch to work for upgrading to 1.3. For some reason I can't run fdisk /dev/hd2. I get "Cannot read boot sector". I can fdisk /dev/hd0 and /dev/hd1 but not any other partitions. #1: If I do fdisk /dev/hd0 what should the parameters be? (I know that /dev/hd0 represents the whole disk but I don't quite understand what this means to Minix). #2: What should hd1 and hd2 look like? Thanks for any help. -- Jeff Holmes DOMAIN: jeff@questar.mn.org Questar Data Systems UUCP: amdahl!bungia!questar!jeff
