In the Dec 1983 issue of IEEE Proceedings, the issue devoted to OSI,
the article "The OSI Reference Model" mentions connectionless data
transmission.  At the time of this paper, this topic was still under
investigation.

Can anybody provide me with pointers to either people or references
who would have more information on this topic?
