I got NFS up and running between them, but a few days later it stopped for no apparent reason. The two machines are a uVAX 3500 and an Olivetti 3020. When I try to ping from the oliv to the VAX it is successful. When I try to ping the OLIV from the VAX I am successful. However I can not ping the VAX from the VAX. I get the following message: VAX : ping olivetti olivetti is alive VAX : ping VAX sendto: Can't assign requested address ping: wrote localhost 64 chars, ret=-1 ping: sendto: Can't assign requested address VAX : I will appreciate any hints at all.
