No, I don't think the specs say that. We certainly advise AGAINST networks with MTU's < 576 for performance reasons, but historically there have been several... Packet Radio Net and SATNET, if I remember correctly. If people implement the protocols correctly, communication should still function across a network with small MTU. Bob Braden
