You will find that they are not the only OS that has addresses this, I think the UCLA MVS TCP/IP FTP allows you to specify a bit of (moral) JCL before writing a file. Yes, the UCLA MVS ACP implements the FTP SITE command with keyword parameters calculated to warm the heart of a JCL-lover -- BLKSIZE(), RECFM(), LRECL()... all that wonderful stuff! (yukh) Bob Braden
