The problem has been growing slowly worse over the last few weeks. Seen from here one or more of the Fuzzball time servers drops off the Earth only to replanet a few minutes or hours later. Also, there is a rising tide of ICMP unmentionables coming from distant gateways, rather than nearby EGP gateways on ARPANET, so things are certainly unstable somewhere in space. Finally, the rate of ARPANET error messages, especially to a few gateways, is growing steadily worse. I conclude PSNs for those gateways may be sinking slowly in the muck. This report is certainly much less specific than yours; however, you may find whatever corroboration useful. Dave
