Message-ID: <418@studsys.mu.edu> Date: 21 Feb 89 14:27:50 GMT Organization: Marquette University - Milwaukee, Wisconsin Lines: 22 We are in need of a program that has an "auto-learn" capability or can be thought of as a "record & playback" program. This would be used to assist us in software testing. In concept, we are searching for a program that can monitor the keystrokes of a person and mimick those keystrokes on a repetitive basis. In this manner, a program in development can be tested and re- tested consistantly as changes are made to the code. This would provide better debugging of problems and should result in a better finished product for the end-user. What's needed is the ability to capture the incoming data (screen) and create a "search" value or string. The typed keystrokes would then become the response or "send" value. These search and send values need to be stored in a file which can later be used to simulate the same session automatically. Please contact us if you know of such a product. Ideally we would like the source for a 3b2 but we can port any C code. If anyone knows of a commercial program a lead on that would also be useful. Thank you in advance for any leads.
