[Matt Dillon prefers Amiga file naming conventions and hates the wildcards] I prefer the Amiga wildcards... they're a more complete regular expression syntax than UNIX's... but the file naming conventions are very hard to deal with. UNIX file names with an optional prepended device name would have been better. Best would be something like: //dev/path/file I'm currently using a network that uses this convention for remote file systems. It works rather well.
